Growing Forward

Our work in 2025 helped lay the foundation for FCS’s next chapter. Guided by our mission and the needs of the Coastal Bend, we are strengthening our organization, expanding access to services, and investing in the professionals who provide care.

A Message from Our Leadership

As we reflect on 2025, we are grateful for the staff, Leadership Team, Board of Directors, volunteers, donors, and community partners who make Family Counseling Service’s work possible.

During the year, FCS provided more than 9,800 hours of counseling, advocacy, and education services to over 2,900 individuals across the Coastal Bend. These numbers represent people and families who turned to us for support during important and often difficult moments in their lives.

Our Leadership Team and Board of Directors also approved an updated Strategic Plan. It establishes three priorities: strengthening our organizational framework to support program development, increasing the number of people we serve, and becoming a vital training resource for mental health professionals throughout the Coastal Bend.

Supporting these goals is a leadership system grounded in Professionalism, Service, Respect, and Integrity. Empathy shapes how we welcome people seeking help. Integrity guides how we follow through, uphold professional standards, and care for the resources entrusted to us.

Our impact reaches beyond our offices. Whether responding to families affected by fires in Sinton, helping professionals address compassion fatigue, or educating the community about supporting victims of violent crime, FCS works alongside our neighbors to meet community needs.

Thank you for your trust, partnership, and investment in our mission. Your support helps us continue strengthening children, individuals, and families throughout the Coastal Bend.

Our Priorities for the Future

Strengthening Our Foundation

We are strengthening the organizational framework that supports our programs and people. This work helps FCS prepare for program development and respond thoughtfully to changing community needs.

Expanding Access to Care

We are working to increase the number of people we serve. Building on our community partnerships and services offered beyond our offices, we aim to connect more children, individuals, and families with support.

Preparing Tomorrow’s Mental Health Professionals

We are building on our clinical supervision and student training efforts to become a vital training resource for the Coastal Bend. Supporting developing clinicians helps strengthen the local mental health workforce and the availability of care.

Moving Forward Together

The future of FCS depends on the commitment of our team and the continued partnership of our community. Together, we can build on the work reflected in this report and help more people find support when they need it.
